General Advisor of the CBA High School Student Council, Mr. Joshua Riggins, announced Tuesday, July 25, that election season at CBA has begun.
“You can now register to be included on the CBA High School Student Council ballot,” Riggins stated in a briefing email to the student body, “Elections will take place Friday, August 4, during lunch.”

Students wishing to be on the ballot must obtain a “candidate proposal form” from Riggins’s room––room 213––and receive at least five signatures from high school students, excluding themselves.

Riggins noted that campaigning is permitted, however, if you wish to post campaign materials on campus, you must receive permission from whomever has dominion over that space. For example, to put up a poster in a teacher’s room you must first have permission from that teacher. In a public space, such as a hallway, you must receive permission from administration.
